We bless You, O Lord, and glorify Your name.
People :
Because by Your passion, death and resurrection You
have saved the world.
Leader :
A heavy cross is thrust into Jesus' arms. He is
ordered to carry it to the site of His execution.
Jesus accepts the cross. Carrying it by Himself, He
goes out to the place of the Skull - Golgotha - to
be crucified with two other men. The weight of the
cross shows heavily on the brow and the face of
Jesus. yet, he moves forward without a word of
complain.
People :
Lord Jesus, You embraced your cross to redeem the
world. Help me embrace the cross in my life - the
hardships, struggles, disappointment and pain. Only
by recognizing my own weakness can I discover your
strength.
