Every Sunday
morning, the children of our parish attend Sunday
School classes. They undergo spiritual and
catechetical formation, from their first day, to
receiving First Holy Communion, and then proceeding
years later for their Confirmation. Some people have
to teach and form them during these years. One of
those people could be you.
Suitability - Someone able to
communicate and lead children or youth, with
reasonably sufficient grounding in basics of faith
to teach, creativity and patience. |
|
These parents devote
themselves to the welfare of their children's
catechesis, and in this they assist by preparing
snacks and drinks in the Parish Hall for the
children before they go for Sunday School, work with
the formators to plan and conduct retreats, camps
and workshops, and also to conduct fundraisers to
raise funds for youth or Sunday School needs.
Suitability
-
Parents of children who are in Sunday School are
urged to play an active role. Other adults, and
parents whose children are no longer in Sunday
School may also assist. |
|
The
parish occasionally conducts Bible formation
sessions for various target audiences. Frequently,
parishioners well-versed in Bible knowledge lead and
facilitate these programmes, although these souls
are few and far in between. If you are one of them,
we need your gifts!
Suitability
- Anyone well-versed in Bible knowledge and
scholarly study, and able to impart this knowledge
in interesting ways. A sound Catholic theological
and philosophical background would be of much
advantage. |
