CLOW AT LIGHTHOUSE
(17 March 2009)
CLOW was blessed with an enthusiastic and spirited team who turned up at The Lighthouse at Penang Road to cook and serve dinner for 114 less fortunate members of our society. The Lighthouse caters to the old, the poor, the sick and the homeless. It also provides these unfortunate members with facilities to take a bath and to wash their clothes. Volunteer doctors provide medical and counseling attention at the Lighthouse weekly.
Kids from a kindergarten and children of CLOW members also offered their services. Their Lent: CLOW’S Service at The Lighthouse on 17/3/09.
CLOW was blessed with an enthusiastic and spirited team who turned up at The Lighthouse at Penang Road to cook and serve dinner for 114 persons. The Lighthouse caters to the poor, the sick, the homeless and the less fortunate. The CLOW team also had participation from children from the kindergarten, primary and secondary schools and college. Their participation gave them an insight to society’s less fortunate people and to be thankful for God’s blessings which many may have taken for granted. The children help to wash and cut vegetables/fruits.
The CLOW was headed by Mabel Tan. Chefs for the day were James Ong and John Tan who prepared a dinner menu of sweet and sour dory fish with lots of gravy, fried cabbages and vegetables soup. Dessert was a piece of water melon. The chefs cooking was duly acknowledged – everything was clean out!
